Science Communication in the Digital Public Sphere


Science communication is increasingly taking place online. This has, in turn, led to the development of a new type of public sphere where information infrastructures and digital platforms are playing a larger role in mediating and diffusing scientific knowledge and innovation. This track aims to provide an information systems (IS) perspective on the topic by questioning the role of information and communication technology in creating new ecosystems for valuation and diffusion of scientific knowledge and innovation. This track seeks new and unpublished research contributions from research, media, business, and academia. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
